My Camp Experience 1

THE BIG COMPLAIN

I decided to write about this because most of the things I had learnt in the past three years were tested in  just three weeks! Some I passed, some I failed. I decided to share both experiences so we can learn from them. It’s easier to share our success stories but it takes maturity to own up to your mistakes and share to help others learn from them.

First and foremost, the reason God fills you with the knowledge of His will is not for storage but for performance. It is better to be filled with the word when you don’t need it so you would have a well to draw from when you need it. And when these tests start coming, don’t scream, why me? You should rather say why not me? With all the revelation on my inside? With all my understanding of the word? In Mark 14:17, after the sower sowed the seed which was the word, persecution arose on account of the word.

So, I resumed camp on the 23rd of May, 2017. The camp was long overdue . I deffered it the first time; I will share the reason later if The Lord permits. The first time I deffered, I was actually posted to Edo State. Alas! This second time, it was Edo State again. It didn’t meet me unawares really, although I had another State in mind entirely but few days to this time, the Lord revealed it. Don’t ask me how? I once wrote a post on how the real woman can be led. I didn’t only know the state, I also knew my Primary Place of Assignment  (PPA).

I got to the camp and it was far below my expectation. I was allocated a room where about 200 other ladies were staying. No cross ventilation, no fan and the long hall was partially lighted. The crux was the bathroom and toilet, mhen, it’s not a sight to remember. Who uses pit toilet in this 21st century? I remember my pastors called to ask how the place was, I replied ‘it’s worse than hell’. I’ve never been to hell and I will never go there, but from the scriptures, the worst scenario that could match the description was hell. I blamed the government for everything. I wasn’t enjoying the whole thing. I couldn’t wait for 21 days to be over.

One day, the Holy Spirit corrected me. You see, we are always too quick to judge every situation with our perspective, not with the scriptures. I was too quick to condemn the governing authorities rather than pray. It had robbed me of my joy. The Holy Spirit reminded me 1 Timothy 2:1-4: I exhort FIRST OF ALL that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings AND ALL WHO ARE IN AUTHORITY, that we may lead a peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

This was Paul’s letter to Pastor Timothy but can be applied in our everyday life. The first thing we have been admonished to do in everything is pray. Prayer should be your first line of action. The more you complain, the more the devil robs you of your joy and expectation from this nation.

You might even receive the solution to the nation’s problem in prayers; you are probably the solution the world has been waiting for. God can give you an insight that can move your state forward, an example is Joseph.

The truth is if we pray for this country, much more than we complain, things would have been better. If we pray for our leaders more than we curse them, they would be performing better. I started to intercede for Edo State and her leaders afterwards, I found out, the camp was a temporary site, their much better permanent site is under construction. Some of the tools the enemy uses in robbing us of our joy is complain, worry, but the way to overpower him, is by praying and give thanks for this is the will of God for us in everything.

Your first line of action in everything must be PRAYER! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee (Psalm 122:6)

PRAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY, PRAY FOR YOUR LEADERS, PRAY FOR ALL MEN!

  1. This is awesome! So much loaded.
“The truth is if we pray for this country, much more than we complain, things would have been better. If we pray for our leaders more than we curse them, they would be performing better.”

Now, the generations shall call you blessed.
Now, their nobles shall honour you.
Now, your voice goes round the globe with weight of glory.
    You are blessed.

  2. Wow!!! Amazing story…The real Truth is that every country needs prayer. Regardless of political philosophy or governmental organization, every country needs its citizens, leaders, land, economy, scientists, health care workers, business people and teachers to be bathed in prayer. Why? Because every person and every square inch of a country’s land needs the grace, wisdom and protection of God. From economic uncertainty to outbreaks of disease, racial unrest to contentious elections, we need The LORD to show us what to do. Our Prayers Make a Difference
“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

    –James 5:16
When we seek The LORD in prayer on behalf of our nation, there are God-ordained results. We may never meet the political leader whom we lift up. We may never meet (this side of heaven) the citizens that our prayers affect, but God’s WORD promises that our prayers do, in fact, make a difference. It’s a promise we can trust.

  4. ”The first thing we have been admonished to do in everything is pray. Prayer should be your first line of action. The more you complain, the more the devil robs you of your joy and expectation from this nation.” many lack the knowledge of this. God help us. Nice piece by the way.
